Death Stranding Director's Cut is now available on Xbox. In a very surprising announcement, Kojima Productions and publisher 505 Games revealed that players on Xbox will have a special 50 per cent discount for a limited time so if you're on Xbox Series X|S and never got to play this one due to exclusivity, don't skip the opportunity to get this fantastic adventure title.
In an official statement, Hideo Kojima said he's delighted to finally bring Death Stranding to Xbox players and thanked the fans of Xbox who have been waiting for this day.
"It is my pleasure to finally announce that DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT will be delivered to Xbox players. I would like to thank all the fans who have stayed connected with us as well as everyone in the Xbox community who have been patiently waiting"
Interestingly, Kojima added that his studio will continue to connect more and more players around the world, which could suggest his upcoming games may appear on more platforms. It would certainly be great to see Death Stranding 2: on PC and Xbox.
Regarding the Xbox version of Death Stranding, the game support's Xbox Play Anywhere which means if you buy it on Xbox, you can also play it on the Xbox app on PC. It also has Xbox achievements and "Optimised for Xbox" badge so it really looks like a great port.
