Despite PC performance woes, Monster Hunter Wilds has sold over eight million copies in first three days to become Capcom's fasest selling game ever.

Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter Wilds has sold over eight million copies in its first three days since launch. This staggering success makes Monster Hunter Wilds the fastest selling video game in Capcom's history, which is quite something when you take a peak into Capcom's portfolio and franchises like Resident Evil and Dragon's Dogma.

Capcom say that this success will help them continue creating unique games that will meet the expectations from players, so it's safe to say that we'll be getting a lot more Monster Hunter games in the future.

In terms of total sales, Monster Hunter Wilds has an excellent base to become one of the best selling Capcom titles. Monster Hunter World is, at the moment, the best-selling Capcom titles with well over 20 million copies sold but it certainly wouldn't be surprising to see Wilds overtake World in a few years, especially if Capcom deliver some great expansions like they did with Iceborne.

Monster Hunter Wilds' incredible success will certainly mean Capcom will continue to expand this big franchise

If you're unfamiliar with Monster Hunter series, basically, it's an action RPG game with online elements where you can team up with other players to take down massive beasts, then use the materials to craft higher quality weapons. It's one of those where you have to grind a lot so if that's not your thing, you may look for a shorter experience like Avowed for example.
