THQ Nordic have released Darksiders 3 Keepers of the Void DLC that will add new challenges, puzzles and boss fights that will yield an exclusive armour that is apparently as powerful as it is legendary. It also features new story content.
Darksiders 3's newest DLC pack, Keepers of the Void, is now out along with the launch trailer that can be seen above.
The new storyline sees Fury on a quest to restore order to the Serpent Holes, as requested by everyone's favourite glutton for souls and purveyor fine goods, Vulgrim.
There are several new challenges that Fury will face in the Serpent Holes, such as the new enemies and puzzles. The new enemies seem to be mostly the hostile stone guardians while the new puzzles are hard to describe from the provided snippets of footage.
Players will not be delving into the Holes for nothing though since the reward is the legendary Abyssal armour that is both powerful and is easy on the eyes. The armour made appearances in all Darksiders games so far and it was the most powerful set in both of the first two entries in the series but it remains to be seen if it will retain the fancy title in Darksiders 3.
Keepers of the Void DLC will set players back $12.99 / €12.99 / £10.99 if they decide they could use more of Fury's adventures. The DLC pack is available on all eligible platforms - PC, Xbox One, PlayStation and Xbox One.
From the few reviews on the Steam page so far, it seems like players will be in for two to three hours of additional content but this number could potentially go down or up, depending on individual players' puzzle-solving and combat prowess.
Darksiders kept some of the recurring characters and iconic gear through all the instalments so far so it will be interesting to see if Airship Syndicat will decide to go through with the references and easter eggs in their upcoming Darksiders Genesis.
It will be especially interesting to see whether both War and Strife will be able to get their hands on an Abyssal set.
