Cyberpunk 2077 will have quests similar to Witcher 3 monster contracts where players will get to hunt so-called cyber-psychos, people who went crazy due to a large amount of installed cyber implants.
Recently, we got a ton of new Cyberpunk 2077 details thanks to Night City Wire Episode 2, where CD Projekt Red talked about three life paths, various weapons and Refused's transformation into Samura, the game's iconic rock band.
Today, we have additional information about Cyberpunk 2077's take on Witcher's monster contracts. According to German gaming magazine GameStar, Cyberpunk 2077 will indeed have quests similar to Witcher 3's Witcher Contracts or Monster Hunts.
When asked wether the game features a similar system to Witcher Contracts, GamesStar said :
"Yes. There are so-called cyber-psychos around the game world. People who had so many cyber implants installed that they went crazy."
It will be interesting to see just how exactly will these quests work. It is possible that players will get to pick up bounties randomly from NPCs or places similar to boards in The Witcher 3. We already know that one of the side activities includes tracking down a bounty but this could be a completely different activity. Until we get an official confirmation, this is just speculation so take it with a grain of salt.
Cyberpunk 2077 is officially hitting the shelves on November 19, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will also arrive to next-gen consoles on day one. Google Stadia version is also in the works but it won't be coming in 2020.
