A ton of new, winter-themed content is coming in just a couple of days to Activision's kart driver Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. There's a new track, characters, items and of course, challenges.
Activision and Beenox are continuing to support their kart racer Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled with fresh content months after the game arrived to consoles. Today, the publisher officially revealed Winter Festival Grand Prix, a new event that is coming to the game in just a couple of days.
As the name suggests, the new event is winter-themed which means more snowy tracks. The new track is named Gingerbread Joyride and it's celebrating Christmas with streets made from cookies and all sorts of sweets around the map.
On top of this, the update brings a ton of new rewards that can be unlocked with Nitro Points. There's a brand new vehicle skin - a snowplough - so you can drive through the snow piles without any concerns. Also, you get Nitro Sleigh Kart and Pastry wheels as well as several new paint jobs and stickers to make your ride unique.
Just like with earlier seasons, the new Grand Prix brings a ton of new challenges. There are quick, daily, weekly, pro and season-themed challenges to complete.
For those who manage to finish in the top 5 per cent of the Grand Prix leaderboards, Activision have a special reward - Champion kart and signature decal. You can check it out in the announcement on Crash Bandicoot Twitter below.
Winter Festival Grand Prix officially arrives on 12 December 2019 at 7:00 AM PT/3:00 PM UTC/4:00 PM CET.
