Beenox and Activision have detailed Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's first limited time event name Nitro Tour Grand Prix. The event will add five new playable characters, including Crash's girlfriend Tawna. The event starts on 03 July 2019.
Nitro Tour Grand Prix is the name of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's first limited time event that is bringing a bunch of fresh content to Beenox's beloved kart racer. Traditionally, the new content has been presented by the iconic commentators Chick and Stew from 2005's Crash Tag Team Racing.
The event is scheduled to start on Wednesday, 03 July 2019 and will run for a couple of weeks, before it ends on 28 July 2019. In the latest trailer, Activision and Beenox detailed all the content that will arrive tomorrow, and the biggest addition are the new playable characters - Nitro Tour Grand Prix will add five of them, including Crash's girlfriend Tawna.
Named Nitro Squad, the pack of playable characters includes Ami, Isabella, Liz, Megumi and already mentioned Tawna. On top of this addition, Nitro Tour Grand Prix will also add brand new kart sets, challenges and rewards.
Karts sets include Le Chaux, Bandibuggy, and Rocket, while challenges and rewards will be exclusive for the event and won't be available once Nitro Tour officially ends.
Another big addition is the Twilight Track, which is a brand new track, specifically created for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and judging by shots from the trailer, it's looking pretty nice.
After Nitro Tour Grand Prix ends, Beenox will introduce another event named The Back N. Time Grand Prix. Just like the Nitro Tour, this one will also add new track - Prehistoric Playground - and special new characters including baby versions of Crash and Coco. On top of that, Beenox also confirmed Spyro Grand Prix, but that one will come later this year.
