If you happened to miss out on Activision's Spyro Reignited Trilogy but have jumped aboard Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, then Beenox and Activision have you covered as they announced Spyro Circuit, which is pretty self-explanatory.
Spyro comes just in time for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's latest Grand Prix season, so there's plenty more to talk about, but first things first - CTR players are getting Spyro & Friends Grand Prix.
Beenox's co-studio head Thomas Wilson reminded that Spyro and Crash have been "spinning, jumping, wumping, gliding, and flaming bad guys for over 20 years", so exploring the two in a single game has apparently been quite a blast.
"This season you'll see Spyro showing up all over the place in CTR - in the opening menu screen, in the Grand Prix cinematic, and of course, in the game itself. Spyro, Hunter, and Gnasty Gnorc will be added as unlockable playable characters with all of the personality that you come to expect from them", he wrote.
Crash Team Racing NF will be getting new carts as well - Spyromobile and Gnasty Ride, both of which are good indicators of what to expect.
The crossover goes much deeper than just throwing in Spyro into Crash Team Racing NF's deep end, starting from tiny details like unlockable decals, stickers and paint jobs, to bigger ones likes special Spyro-themed visuals and track design.
Spyro Circuit replaces power-up crates with chests, Wumpa fruit with gems while the invincibility masks will be replaced by Sparx. The track is, of course, dragon-themed and Spyro's magical portals have been used to transport players to different places.
The track's first portal takes you to a High Caves-inspired level in the Magic Crafters Homeworld, where a long straight line is followed by two sharp turns.
The second one takes Crash Team Racing NF racers to a High Caves and Wizard Peak-reminiscent area inside the castle with narrow pathways, floating platforms and some mischievous wizard.
Spyro Circuit's third portal takes Crash racers back to the Artisans Homeworld.
The Spyro & Friends Grand Prix starts Friday, 30 August 2019, at 3pm BST / 4pm CEST.
