Many fans were disappointed after Mihoyo didn't include Hu Tao in the official trailer for the upcoming 1.3 update. There seems to be a chance for this cheeky troublemaker to be a part of the following patch.

The upcoming 1.3 update for Genshin Impact is just around the corner and many players were disappointed, to say the least when they didn't see the fan favourite character, Hu Tao, in Mihoyo's official trailer. Hu Tao's place will take one of the already obtainable characters, Keqing.

According to a popular Genshin Impact leaker, there is still a chance we could see Hu Tao in the upcoming update. Mihoyo revealed that the Xiao banner will be in the game for two weeks which is one week shorter than usual and the same goes for Keqing. Considering that Mihoyo already announced that they'll be releasing new updates every six weeks, this leaves a two-week gap before 1.4.

Many fans are also speculating that we could have a Zhongli re-run alongside Hu Tao since he is set to receive some major buffs in this update. Another reason why Hu Tao will most likely be included in the upcoming update is the fact that she shares the same new ascension materials as Xiao, which is dropped by the new Geovishap bosses.

Players that were hoping for a Venti banner re-run will probably have to wait until update 1.4 drops since it will most likely feature the long-awaited Mondstadt festival event. If the 1.3 update which is focused on the Liyue region gives us the Geo Archon, Zhongli, the Monstadt themed 1.4 update should allow us to roll again for the Anemo Archon, Venti.

Genshin Impact update 1.3 is set to be released around February 3, depending on the server.
