Devil May Cry 5 pre-orders are now available on Steam and Valve updated the store page which now contains proper pricing as well as system requirements for Capcom's next heavy hitter. And it will hit your CPU heavily if you buy the game.
Devil May Cry 5's screenshots so far are looking fantastic but bear in mind that they are promotional material and are therefore most likely altered. Then again, if the graphics on the final product turn out to be top notch, it will not be fore no reason as the demon slashing adventure will require at least an i7 4770 to run. Yes, that CPU is listed in the minimum requirements.
Thankfully, Capcom didn't go mental on the entire spectrum of requirements for Devil May Cry 5 as the game will not be exclusive to Windows 10. If you're a fan of Windows 7 you will be able to play the game on that OS just fine.
GPU requirements are not that high either as the minimum requirement in that department will be a GTX 760 which is not that expensive these days. Oddly enough, while the CPU requirement is same for minimum and recommended requirements, that is not the case with GPU. GTX 960 is the minimum you will be looking for if you want to meet the recommended requirements for Devil May Cry 5.
The game will not be a RAM hog either as only 8GB of RAM has been specified in both minimum and recommended system specifications. It will eat up 35 GB of your disk space which is not spare change but neither is it massive for today's standards.
While the system requirements overall are not too baffling, it is noteworthy that i7 4770 pretty much when it comes to performance. The kicker is that FX 8350 is close to the PC equivalent of PlayStation 4 Pro's CPU. This begs the question - why does Devil May Cry 5 require a more powerful and more expensive CPU on PC than it does on consoles?
