DMC 5: Special Edition brought along several features and a playable Vergil with his own move set and the iconic katana that he tends to use when bickering with his brother.
Vergil is now playable in Devil May Cry 5 on all the featured platforms - PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the means of getting him are somewhat different, based on the platform.
PS5 and XSX/S are getting the DMC 5: Special Edition which includes all the content released for the game thus far and Vergil himself. Meanwhile, PC, PS4 and Xbox One are getting the character through DLC.
He will make use of an entire arsenal of weapons and abilities that may look similar to those of Dante in some aspects but the blue brother has his own identity.
For example, while both of them have the habit of using Beowulf gauntlets, Vergil will differentiate himself with Yamato, his signature sword, as well as abilities such as Mirage Blades which are used as long-range projectiles and Doppelganger which shadows his moves.
Should the push come to shove, Vergil can rely on Sin Devil Trigger to unleash more power or World of V, a newfound power that allows him to unleash the human form as well as its Familiars in order to wreak havoc on the enemies.
You can check out more on the Special Edition on the official announcement page but if you played the game already, you probably experienced most, if not all, of those goodies.
