Activision revealed the system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that don't seem to be high in any aspect, besides the disk space. It requires a whopping 175 GB of storage.
Infinity Ward are setting a new standard in gaming with Call of Duty Modern Warfare, but unfortunately, it is not a good one. The revealed system requirements for PC revealed players will need a mind-blowing 175 GB, which is 25 GB more than that features a huge and beautiful open world.
Other than that, neither minimum nor recommended system specs are too high. For example, an Intel i3-4340 or FX-6300 CPU is enough to cover the minimum requirements, coupled with a GTX 670 or AMD HD 7950 GPU. None of these components are particularly expensive and therefore, even low end rigs can handle CoD: Modern Warfare.
Full minimum requirements are:
- CPU: Intel i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
- GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
- RAM: 8 GB
- Disk space: 175 GB
- OS: Windows 7 or Windows 10
Recommended specs naturally have more expensive hardware listed but even then, it's not that bad. A GTX 970 or RX 580 will do the trick and both are considered mid-tier graphics cards. Processors are also in the same tier, with Intel i5 2500K or Ryzen 5 1600X.
Full recommended specs:
- CPU: Intel i5-2500K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD RX 580
- RAM: 12 GB
- Disk space: 175 GB
- OS: Windows 10
Overall, it seems like Modern Warfare is well optimised but it remains to be seen what's so special that the game with a collection of generally small maps requires more space than RDR 2's vast world.
