Treyarch are set to introduce a mid-season update for their shooter Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War next week. The update is adding new multiplayer and Zombies content.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War developer Treyarch are preparing another fresh content update for all players. The big, mid-season update, is set to introduce new Zombies and multiplayer content and potential other additions. The update is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, January 14.

The developer are yet to detail everything that the update will introduce and the patch notes probably won't be out before the launch day but thanks to earlier Season One roadmap, we have a clearer picture at what exactly will be coming to Cold War next week.

In multiplayer, a new Fireteam map named Sanatorium is coming along with a brand new Dropkick mode. This is a 6v6 mode with the main goal of taking control of nuclear launch codes.

Additionally, Treyarch did not forget about those who enjoy Zombies mode. That's why they are adding Cranked mode, which you probably know from the previous Call of Duty games. In Cranked, players must take down zombies to reset the clock, which is counting down to their death.

At the time of writing, we do not know if Call of Duty Warzone is also getting new content in this update but hopefully, more will be revealed in the upcoming days.
