Caliber - Operators of the week (October 18, 2023)

Caliber has been through another weekly update and now we get another CST operator at a discount.

1C Game Studios pushed another batch of discounted operators for the week in Caliber, allowing players to get another extremely strong one for just 150,000 Credits.

The operator in question is Avalanche, who is accompanied by Aphela and Travnik this week.

In the way of recommendations, that would be my order as well. They are all useful in some way but Avalanche is the best choice in most scenarios, followed by Aphela and then Travnik.

Avalanche is powerful because nothing in her kit is not top-notch. Her M14 is one of the best rifles around, effective even at long range if you master it but incredibly lethal at close and medium range as she can easily delete any flankers in just a few shots, which come quickly due to her high fire rate. The sidearm penetrates covers with the right upgrade, making her perfect for countering shield wielders like a certain Brazilian support and her mortar gadget wrecks anyone trying to take cover. Finally, the ability not only speeds the whole team up but it makes everyone immune to stuns for the duration, making her a great counter to flashbangs and Bourbon. Highly recommended in PvP.

Caliber - Perun is the new boogeyman
Perun may be the strongest Alpha operator but Travnik is a lot of fun too

Aphela is still strong even though she is very squishy after the assault nerf. With high DPS and limited invulnerability, a correctly positioned Aphela can still wipe a team on her own before she croaks. There isn't much to say about her as she is the classic "turn the brain off and rush in" type of character.

Travnik is the least desirable on this list only because the other two are top-tier operators but he isn't bad himself in PvP. The main issues he suffers from is high stamina consumption and the need to stick near an ally to heal them up. With Snug Fit and medkits, he becomes a very aggressive Medic, who can flank enemies as he has ridiculously high DPS as well as maximum speed when running with a pistol, along with a few flashbangs. Many people are taken by surprise when Travnik pops up where an Assault is supposed to be.
