Caliber is shaking up the meta and it seems like bolt-action snipers will become much better overall.

Bolt-action sniper rifles are some of the weakest weapons in Caliber at the moment since they are not hitscan weapons like most other are but to make matters worse, it takes forever to stabilise your aim and not let RNG choose where the shot lands for you.

The problem is if they were all hitscan, the game would become a campy nightmare with just these weapons dominating everywhere.

1C Game Studios' compromise was to make all bolt-action users more accurate while it takes them less time zero in but their guns still have travel time.

With these changes, the bolt-actions will become much better at all ranges since they won't lose precious time lining up a shot while people spray them up at middle and close range.

That said, landing hits will still require skill because you will have to account for the bullet velocity and lead your shots.

Marksmen affected by these blanket changes are Sokol, Kurt, Eima, Archer, Canglong, Komar, Busel and Vagabond.

In short, their spread is reduced in general while it will take less time to zero in while aiming the weapon to remove spread entirely.

You will still have to remain stationary for a brief moment to get rid of spread but it is overall much better than before.
