In today's live stream, Blue Protocol developers have confirmed that they are still preparing for the western release and can't really say when exactly will the game launch outside of Japan.
Blue Protocol, Bandai Namco's anime MMORPG is currently confirmed for the Japanese market only but MMO fans are hoping that the publisher could also decide to release date game in North America, Europe and the rest of the world.
The developers said in earlier interviews that the game was intended to launch globally on day one but unfortunately, things changed during the development and at the moment, the Japanese version is the biggest focus of the team.
However, this does not mean that the game will not launch globally. In today's live stream, the developers confirmed that they are still preparing the western version of the game but sadly, cannot talk about it or when exactly will it release.
They said the plan is to launch the closed beta and closed alpha tests in Japan for feedback purposes and then decide if the game will release globally or only in some certain regions. "We can't really say right now, we're still preparing, but Japan will release first," they confirmed.
While this is far from an official confirmation, players will certainly be happy to hear that the western release is not off and it is being seriously considered. We reached out to Bandai Namco several times for a comment on whether the game would see an official release in the West, but the publisher has remained silent on the matter thus far.
Blue Protocol is currently in development for PC. Bandai Namco are yet to announce a release date.
