Pearl Abyss' gorgeous-looking MMORPG Black Desert Online has received cross-play support on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in today's patch. On top of this, there are new limited-time events and deals to celebrate the release of the new feature.
Today, Black Desert Online has introduced full cross-play support between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as announced earlier this year. Players will now be able to take part in Conquest and Node Wars, which will take place on cross-play servers for all regions starting on Sunday, 08 March 2020.
To celebrate the release of cross-play support on consoles, the developer and publisher Pearl Abyss released a new trailer, which you can watch above, and also have a fresh batch of in-game content available for all players.
The new event will allow you to acquire the Cliff and Awakening weapon boxes through completing special quests. As you may know, these are powerful weapons but you can exchange them for gold bars if you already own better equipment. The Archer character class and Kaasylvia region have also been added to the game on PlayStation 4 with the update. Xbox One players already have access to the mentioned content.
On top of this, there are special rewards such as Vlak's Cry and Memory Fragments and you can obtain these by finding treasure chests located in the sea.
Last but not least, Black Desert is on a double discount sale from 04 March until 18 March 2020. PlayStation 4 users can buy the game at a discounter price of 25 per cent off while Xbox One users can get it at 50 per cent discount from 03 March to 16 March 2020.
Black Desert Online is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
