Pearl Abyss' gorgeous looking MMORPG is getting full cross-play support on consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox One. The feature will go live on 04 March 2020.
Korean MMO Black Desert Online will introduce cross-play support on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 04 March 2020, the publisher Pearl Abyss officially announced in the latest press release. Players on both consoles will now be able to explore the gorgeous-looking world of Black Desert together online.
To celebrate the announcement of cross-play support on consoles, Pearl Abyss released a new trailer, showcasing the game's open world, combat and more. Check it out here.
At the moment, there is no official confirmation if PC players will join them in the near future. It would be nice if all three platforms could play together but we will have to wait and see if Pearl Abyss have plans to implement such a feature on PC.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Black Desert Online, it is one of the best looking MMORPGs out there with a unique combat system with tons of customisation options.
The game has over 30 million registered users across the world and it is also available in EU and NA.
Earlier this year, the publisher Pearl Abyss confirmed that they are working on another MMORPG to replace Black Desert Online as their flagship title. It is a next-gen title named Crimson Desert and you can read more about it here.
Black Desert Online is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox and mobile platforms.
