BioWare's Anthem will be nothing like Mass Effect in terms of setting and genre, the studio's general manager Aaryn Flynn told CBC in a radio interview a short while ago. He also compared the upcoming title to Star Wars and the Marvel Universe, because it's always a good idea to associate your barely revealed brand new IP with successful franchises in any way possible.

Flynn also used the opportunity to remind listeners, several times, that Anthem is a multiplayer co-op game, with multiplayer that you can play in co-op, with your friends and family, or your kids. Multiplayer. Co-op. BioWare. We previously mentioned this most likely multiplayer co-op fixation, and you can expect the game's marketing campaign to heavily focus on this aspect of gameplay.
If you aren't already sick of hearing the words multiplayer and co-op, just wait until EA's marketing machine reaches its optimal operating temperature of 9000 MegaHypes.

The rest of the interview revealed very little about the game, other than the by now standard BioWare story bits about deeply personal and LGBTQ experiences that the developers will be bringing to the game.
You can listen to the short interview in its entirety . Anthem should
be heavily compared to Destiny 2
launch in Q4 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox.
