Fallout 76's next big update is dubbed Wild Appalachia and it brings new Survival mode, new features, quests and events. The roadmap also reveals two new major updates named Nuclear Winter and Wastelanders coming in Summer and Autumn 2019.
To celebrate 100 days since the launch of Fallout 76, Bethesda have revealed what exactly players can expect from the game in 2019. Before they started talking about the roadmap, Bethesda admitted their mistakes and thanked the fans for sticking around with them as they "figure this online experience out".
Starting on 12 March 2019, Fallout 76 is set to receive its biggest update yet. Dubbed Wild Appalachia, the update will introduce a new game mode named Survival. This mode will bring a higher-stakes PvP experience with fewer restrictions, increased rewards, and new challenges plus all the original content of Adventure Mode.
In addition to this, Wild Appalachia will also include a series of new quests, features, events and crafting systems. One of the new quests is Ever Upwards which will take players on the journey to the deepest reaches of the woods with new stories for the Pioneer Scouts.
The Spring update is also bringing brewing and distilling mechanics, allowing you to make your own moonshine. Furthermore, C.A.M.P decorating, Player vaulting and functional camera features are also included.
Bethesda also revealed two new updates that will follow after the Wild Appalachia. The first one comes in Summer 2019 and it's called Nuclear Winter. While Bethesda didn't go into much detail with this one, they say that players can expect an entirely new way to play and changes to the rules of wasteland.

Nuclear Winter will also introduce two new raids - Vault 96 and Vault 94 openings. Another new feature will be Legendary Players which is an all-new prestige system that will allow players above level 50 to become Legendary, resetting their characters with all new more powerful abilities.
Finally, Wastelanders update is coming in Autumn 2019 and just like the ones we already mentioned, it will include new quests, events, features and factions. Bethesda describe it as their "biggest and most ambitious update" that will bring "a tale with true choice and consequences".
