Fallout 76 Patch 5 notes are absolutely massive, but here are a few highlights. When it comes to balance changes, explosive weapons have been hit hard, as the Explosives Expert's damage amplification was changed from +20%/40%/60%/80%/100% to +20%/30%/40%/50%/60%. That is a staggering 40 per cent less damage at rank five.
On top of that Explosive and Two Shot legendary effects were changed from additional 100 per cent damage to 20 and 25 per cent, respectively. Both effects helped with burst damage and were somewhat overpowered, so it's going to be interesting to see what ways players will find to compensate for the damage after this update.
Some Carry Weight adjustments popped up into the patch as well, since players can no longer carry unlimited amounts of loot with them. The limit to what they can carry has been set to 1.500 pounds plus the overencumbering limit, so if your limit is 160 pounds before you can't run anymore, your hard cap will be 1.660 pounds. That should still put the regular strongmen to shame.
One particular quality of life change is that players will now see which recipes are known to them while viewing a recipe in the menu. Speaking of which, most plans and recipes are no longer randomised and will regularly appear in vendor inventories, except some minor ones. To compensate for the increased availability, these plans and recipes will cost more now.

And then, there are bug fixes. Needless to say, this is a Bethesda game so bug infestations were to be expected. Since this is a live service game, fixes for said bugs were also expected, but no one really saw this massive block of text coming. You can check them all out on the on Bethesda's website. The list is slightly shorter than the first volume of Karl Marx's Capital.
