Bethesda announced that the Brotherhood of Steel faction will be joining Appalachia next month as the update Steel Dawn goes live in Fallout 76.
Steel Dawn will debut on December 1, 2020. It will see the arrival of the tech cult that sees itself as the salvation of mankind in the post-apocalyptic world but their methods of doing so are rather ruthless.
Just like the trailer below mentioned, their primary goal is "securing" all the advanced technology they can find. In other words, if someone has a shiny hi-tech gizmo, Brotherhood of Steel wants it. If you don't give it to them, a war ensues. Don't take our word for it, just ask NPCs in the Mojave desert or Commonwealth.
Or play when Steel Dawn releases since Bethesda already hinted we will be able to side with BoS or other factions. In case of siding with the Brotherhood, you will apparently get to determine how the tech they secure will be used.
Anyway, BoS will seek to establish a new chapter in Appalachia after arriving from California. Paladin Leila Rahmani appears to be the ranking officer here which means there is no Elder present.
This new release will feature a complete questline, new locations and gear, underground spaces that will serve as alternatives for the CAMP as well as new BoS-themed cosmetics for your staying place.
