EA and EA DICE have previously announced that Grand Operations in Battlefield V will be released "shortly after launch", much to fans' displeasure. Now they seem to have changed that statement and GO will make an appearance at launch.

Players were generally looking forward to Grand Operations in Battlefield V following successful outing in Closed Alpha but their hopes were initially shot down as EA DICE declared the mode wouldn't be available at launch.

Communications channels at the company seem to be having some issues though, as they have now that Battlefield V's "ultimate multiplayer experience" will be available at launch and as a part of Tides of War.

Confirmed game modes at release are Conquest, Breakthrough, Frontlines, Domination and Team Deathmatch and it looks like Grand Operations are now confirmed as well. That is, unless folks at DICE issue yet another contradictory statement.

Funnily enough, the second line of the states that each Grand Operation "presents a powerful narrative experience inspired by historical events". It's yet another contradictory statement as EA DICE now claim "inspiration by historical events" after they decided the throw historical accuracy out of the window with a neat little sentence about to them.

Anyway, for those unacquainted with Grand Operations, it's an extended game mode where each round represents a "day" in war. Depending on how a team does in one day, they might have an advantage the next day. For example, if they deploy with adequate supply of ammo and vehicles in first day, they will start the next one with more resources.

Each day will offer a different challenge as game modes will shift from day to day in order to prevent stale tactics and keep the game dynamic. Players enjoyed it immensely during Closed Alpha apparently, as you would be hard pressed to find a piece of negative feedback on Grand Operations.
