Unreleased game news are leaking everywhere these days and it appears that Rocksteady's Arkham series is getting another chapter. It is called Batman: Arkham Legacy.
WB Montreal kept teasing a new Batman game through September 2019 which led people to believe an announcement would come soon but here we are at the end of October and nothing official in sight.
The next best thing, the leakers, didn't drop the ball though. New_WabiSabi on Twitter correctly leaked a ton of E3 2019 info which included Nintendo games. This eventually prompted the company to threaten legal action against the leaker which speaks volumes of their info credibility.
Anyway, WabiSabi is back with two Batman-related tweets. The first one stated that the game will be called Batman: Arkham Legacy, which sounds like a fitting one, given Arkham Knight's ending.
The other tweet states that Bat-family characters will be playable. Technically, we played them in Arkham Knight as well, in their own dedicated modes and partially controlled them through tag-team takedowns. On the other hand, we never got to play through an entire story with them, the way we did with the Caped Crusader.
An ensemble cast also sounds plausible as they attempt to fill Batman's shoes following the Knightfall protocol but it's still unclear how the Court of Owls will fit into the story.
While not 100 per cent confirmed, WB Montreal's teasers were largely interpreted as having something to do with the cabal that seeks to secretly control Gotham. Court of Owls' stories are usually centred around Batman himself, not his associates so it remains to be seen whether the leak holds up and if it does, how the Court might be incorporated in the stories of Dick Grayson & Co.
