Today we have more proof that From Software are set to reveal the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree DLC very soon.
Following the backend DLC update for Elden Ring on Steam earlier this week, today, the official Elden Ring playlists on YouTube were updated across Bandai Namco's regional channels.
This was spotted by eagle-eyed fans on ResetEra who seem to think the trailer reveal is imminent and could even happen as soon as today. Bandai Namco are yet to confirm that the new trailer is indeed coming.
Usually, when publishers update playlists on YouTube, it's a good indication that some kind of video content is indeed being prepared for official reveal. This could be the case with Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree DLC, which is yet to be revealed properly.
We only got the official key art and a confirmation that the DLC is in the works and will be coming soon. Since then, From Software have not release more details, stating that they will only reveal the DLC when they are ready.
Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree expansion is expected to introduce new locations, bosses, weapons and quests among other things. There is no confirmed release date at the moment but if we had to guess, we would say that Shadow of Erdtree is launching sometime in the first half of 2024.
As for the platforms, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are pretty much a lock. It remains to be seen if the expansion also arrives to last-gen consoles. Elden Ring certainly would not be the first game to launch on last-gen but to skip PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X consoles with its expansion.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty come to mind as the most recent examples.
