Following numerous delays and apologies from Ubisoft, Skull and Bones, the pirate game, emphasising ship combat, is set to release next month. Ubisoft has made a concerted effort to pique our interest, and, naturally, to lighten our wallets, they've unveiled a trailer for the game's Premium Edition, showcasing some really interesting features and stuff.
Beyond offering an array of cosmetic accessories for both ship and crew, Ubisoft entices us with the perk that Premium Edition owners of Skull and Bones can access the game three days ahead of those with the standard edition. Naturally, this exclusivity comes at a cost, with the Premium Edition priced €30 higher than the standard, retailing at €110.
For those unfamiliar, Skull and Bones draws direct inspiration from the naval combat featured in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Shortly after the release of the Ubisoft action-adventure title, Skull and Bones was announced. Now, after a decade of anticipation and numerous delays, we are eagerly awaiting the chance to finally play this potentially captivating game. Given the promising combat similarities to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, there's hope for a satisfying experience.
Explore what lies in store for us in the Premium Edition version of the game in the list below:
- The Ballad of Bloody Bones Collection includes a captain outfit and cosmetic ship items.
- Two extra missions, including The Ashen Corsair and Bloody Bones’ Legacy.
- Digital art book and selected game soundtrack, including sea shanties.
- Smuggler Pass token to unlock the premium battle pass and additional content.
Barring any unexpected delays, Skull and Bones is slated for release on February 16. Notably, Premium Edition owners will gain early access on February 13. The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
