Shooter fans have been quite impressed by a brand new Unreal Engine 5 shooter called Gray Zone Warfare, which is being developed by Czech studio Madfinger Games, who are known for creating mobile games like Deadtrigger and Shadowgun.
Gray Zone Warfare is described as a realistic military shooter with extensive weapon customisation, a unique health system and a massive open world inspired by Southeast Asia.
Gray Zone Warfare is, as you have guessed a PvPvE extraction shooter, similar to games like Escape From Tarkov. Basically, your job in every match is to explore the map, find as much loot as possible, eliminate enemies who get in your way and extract the valuable items you found.
On paper, Gray Zone Warfare certainly looks impressive. With stunningly detailed visuals thanks to Unreal Engine 5, a sprawling 42km² open world and some unique features, this shooter is certainly high on our list of hotly anticipated games.
However, we have to say that the gameplay footage, screenshots and the announced features look and sound a bit too good to be true so we'll take everything with a dose of scepticism until we get to play the game. Hopefully, Madfinger Games will soon announce the first beta test to give players the opportunity to see everything they've been crafting.
Gray Zone Warfare does not have a specific release date just yet but we know it's coming sometime in 2024, exclusively to PC via Steam, where you can wishlist this highly-anticipated extraction shooter.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are yet to be announced. You can learn more about Gray Zone Warfare on the official website.
