2K Games have officially announced that a brand new TopSpin game is in development by Mafia 3 studio Hangar 13. Titled TopSpin 2K25, this tennis sim is expected to launch soon.

2K Games have today announced TopSpin 2K25, a brand new tennis game from the iconic series. The details are pretty scarce at the moment, but we know the game is being developed by Mafia 3 studio Hangar 13 and will feature a licensed Australian Open tournament, as confirmed in the official teaser trailer which you can check out below.

Other than that, we don't really know much. The trailer revealed several types of surfaces including clay, grass and hard courts which is pretty much the standard stuff for any tennis game.

Sadly, we didn't see any tennis superstars in the trailer but you can bet 2K will sort out those licences to have the rising star Carlos Alcaraz on the cover along with the legend of the sport Novak Djokovic and female number one Iga Swiatek.

We are obviously very excited to see more of TopSpin 2K25 in the coming months. At the moment, we don't know when exactly 2K Games plan to reveal first proper gameplay and other details like the release date but given that the game is titled "2K25", it's safe to assume it will be coming later this year.

As for the platforms, again, we don't have the details but 2K Games have said that they will be sharing more on that soon. Our guess is that TopSpin 2K25 will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Top Spin 2K25 will be the first TopSpin game since 2011, when TopSpin 4 was released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. A spiritual successor Tennis Would tour was released in 2018 but failed to garner any hype as the critic scores were quite underwhelming.

Top Spin is still considered as the best tennis video game series of all time so this announcement will surely excite many fans who enjoyed playing this one in early 2000s.
