Assetto Corsa EVO's Early Access will initially offer 20 vehicles across several classes and 5 circuits covering four continents, with a full launch in fall 2025 expected to include over 100 cars and at least 15 licensed tracks.

The next in the line of critically acclaimed racing sims, Assetto Corsa EVO, is coming to Steam Early Access on January 16th, 2025 and with it, a whole set of game-changing features.

Recently, developer KUNOS Simulazioni and publisher 505 Games let out a bit more information on it, including an open-world map and other enhancements in the new keynote video.

Coming this summer of 2025, the open-world map recreates Germany's Eifel region, home of the famous Nürburgring. LIDAR-scanned and utilizing advanced terrain technology, the area is said to be the most realistic it has ever been. Players will explore the region in stages, as new updates continue to add fresh content.

This is not a racing map; instead, it includes interacting features like renting cars, upgrading vehicles with aftermarket parts and even visiting local workshops.

During the keynote, Marco Massarutto, co-founder of Kunos Simulazioni, underlined how the open-world feature is new, but it completes the traditional track racing experience.

Realistic physics, dynamic weather, and laser-scanned circuits are still at the core of the game to keep Assetto Corsa EVO true to its roots.

Early Access will roll out with 20 vehicles across several classes and 5 circuits covering four continents of the world. When fall 2025 brings a full launch, that figure should blossom to over 100 cars and at least 15 licensed tracks-the rest will then be created and added over time with free updates.

Massarutto characterized the game as a "love letter for all car enthusiasts," combined with track racing and open-world driving for an immersive experience.

Early Access lets users get hold of the game in the early stages while availing it at cheaper rates by taking part in the molding process. You can wishlist the game here.
