Nvidia's latest Driver update blog post reveals Forza Motorsport's upcoming Update 15 is set to introduce the long awaited ray-traced global illumination.

Just over a year since the launch of Forza Motorsport, Turn 10 are finally adding the promised ray-traced global illumination (RTGI) tech to their racing game.

RTGI will be added with the upcoming Update 15, which is set to go live on Deceber 9, 2024. The update will also introduce the long-awaited track Bathurst. Here's the first screenshot of this beloved circuit with RTGI turned on.

The news was confirmed by Nvidia, in their latest Driver update notes on Nvidia blog

"On December 9th, Forza Motorsport's next update introduces support for immersive Ray-Traced Global Illumination lighting."

The RTGI update will be available only on PC, which is expected since it's a very GPU heavy tech that requires top of the line graphics cards like RTX 4070 or RTX 4080.
