The next chapter of Assetto Corsa Series is set to arrive on January 16, 2025, it's been announced today by developer Kunos Simulazioni and publisher 505 Games.
The game titled Assetto Corsa Evo will launch in Steam Early Access with several groundbreaking features for the franchise like full 24h race cycle, new lighting system, dynamic weather and track conditions and photorealistic visuals.
A lot of marketing buzzwords if you ask me but the actual trailer which you can check out above does look fairly impressive and like a major improvement over Assetto Corsa Competizione, the most recent game in the series.
Kunos Simulazioni say Assetto Corsa Evo will be unlike any other racing sim see on any generation. It's safe to say that the team seems pretty confident in their new game but it remains to be seen just how much content Assetto Corsa evo packs at launch and if the driving mechanics are actually good to attract enough players.
Here's what Kuno Simulazioni had to say regarding Assetto Corsa Evo launch:
"We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting news on Assetto Corsa EVO launch, and trust us —we’ve been working hard to make sure everything meets our high standards. Here at KUNOS, we believe in taking the time to get things just right, and that’s why the Early Access for Assetto Corsa EVO will officially begin on January 16, 2025." said Marco Massarutto, KUNOS Simulazioni co-founder and Executive Manager.
Assetto Corsa Evo is currently confirmed only for early access launch on PC (Steam). Hopefully, we'll also hear more about the console version in the near future.
