GTA V came out a decade ago and it is high time for a new entry in the series. It is no secret is deep into development already but if the latest leak is correct, the game is not that far away from release now.
Keep in mind that there is currently no way to verify the information at the moment as neither Rockstar nor Take-Two Interactive addressed the supposed leak in an official capacity so take it with a grain of salt.
On the other hand, the leak did get removed on copyright grounds so it definitely sounds like some of that information could be correct.
Namely, a voice recording of the Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick, appeared on Twitter where he discussed the release date for GTA 6 as well as the date when it would be officially announced with a trailer.
According to the audio leaks, the GTA 6 trailer will be shown on October 23, 2023, while the game's own release is scheduled for October 2024.
Considering that the tweet was removed due to copyrighted material, one has to wonder what sparked the takedown. Had it remained on the platform, many would doubt the legitimacy of the claims since no credible insiders nor revealed sources were involved.
On top of that, many Twitter users expressed concerns that this could be AI voice but if that were the case, the copyright takedown wouldn't stand. The same leaker announced more would be shown soon, which could give them more credibility or destroy the readers' trust in the provided info.
