Apex Legends: Valkyrie Rework - Key changes, impact and expected release

Valkyrie is getting a rework in Season 22, making her a Recon Legend. Her refuel delay is being reduced by 50%, allowing her to use her jetpack more often.

In Apex Legends, developed by EA and Respawn, many fans have described Valkyrie as one of the game's best characters, with her seriously powerful rework coming for the 22nd season to revaluate the way players choose and play.

Valkyrie is about to go through major remolding in Season 22, which may change the way Legends choose and play. Part of making Valkyrie a Recon Legend includes a few changes to her abilities, to better fit into the utility role.

The most substantial changes include reduction of her refuel delay by 50%, down from 8 to 4 seconds, allowing players to use their jetpack a bit more often. She will also passively gain Threat Views while jetpacking, and that will remain activated until she has contact with the ground or a zipline.

The rework also tweaks her Missile Swarm, increasing the explosion radius by 20%, reducing the minimum attack range, and speeding up the fire rate. These changes make Valkyrie’s missile attacks more dangerous at closer distances, and quicker to unleash.

Further, a refuel delay timer was included in the jetpack UI that applies to Valkyrie, giving more exact ways to manage its fuel. And, of course, further tweaks to the jetpack have honed its handling to match how it felt when Valkyrie was released, which can only be a plus for long-time mains of Valkyrie.

Aerial Specialist has been removed. Full Coverage has been moved to Level 2 and now has a shorter Tactical cooldown time. Another added perk is "Eyes in the Sky," which extends the range of the skydive HUD scan by 40 meters and removes the line-of-sight check.

While a release date for the rework for Valkyrie hasn't been confirmed, it should be due any time within Season 22. Naturally, keep an eye out for further updates on the ways Respawn Entertainment continues adjusting and fine-tuning the legend in the future patches.
