The conclusion of Apex Legends' Quests has produced a strong hint as to the new map coming in Season 6, as well as the next Legend - Rampart. So, let's go through what we know.

Even though not everyone on the Apex Legends team is fond of data miners, we must admit that they've been incredibly helpful in many cases. Some, like Shrugtal, whose video we've included, have intentionally withheld things that would spoil events or quests, and there's probably no better person to turn to when it comes to Rampart.

It has been a while since we've first heard about Rampart's abilities, or at least a version thereof. Touted as the engineer of the bunch, his abilities were listed as:

  • FIXER - Switching to melee allows Rampart to repair friendly structures
  • GUNNER - Boost to LMG mag capacity and reload rate

  • AMPED COVER - Firing from cover overcharges Rampart's gun damage

Shrugtal argues that these abilities were probably created when Apex Legends was a more PvE-oriented offshoot of Titanfall games, so the likelihood of all three making the cut is very low.

That said, he maintains that the one most likely to stick is Gunner, although that would require Devotion to be brought back into regular loot pool, or for a new LMG to be introduced, the latter being highly unlikely.

More recent data mining of Apex Legends has revealed a new mod called Graffiti Mod, which has a big R as its logo. The mod is expected to launch before Season 6 begins and is one of the main arguments for the Gunner ability - they're basically the same thing.

The Grafitti mod provides +15 per cent ammo and +25 per cent faster reloads, while providing three paintball colours via the change fire mode key.

With most minds already having drifted to Olympus , which is expected to be Apex Legends' new map for Season 6, it's easy to forget that Respawn still have surprises up their sleeve. After all, it's the same team that created Forge just to throw data miners off their trail
