With Bloodhound's Town Takeover being rumoured for a while now, Respawn's latest announcement almost looks like a confirmation. Namely, Bloodhound is getting his own episode of Stories from the Outlands called The Old Ways.
"Before they became legend, young Bloodhound faced a rite of passage. Join them on the hunt and learn the harsh lessons of the Old Ways", the video description reads. As you can see, it premieres tomorrow, 2 April 2020.
Even if it's not about Town Takeover though, a Bloodhound episode is sure to hit the spot with Apex Legends fans, for more than one reason.
Firstly, Bloodhound is one of the most popular legends, and his ultimate has recently been boosted a bit, which also happens to be linked to the rumoured Town Takeover.
Secondly, his popularity among Apex Legends characters doesn't change the fact that Bloodhound remains one of the most mysterious members of the entire cast. Even his bio page is a collection of 'Unknown' entries, as the hunter obviously enjoys the added notoriety of being shrouded in mystery and hearsay.
If you've been following the data-mining breadcrumb trail, you probably know that Bloodhound's Town Takeover has been talked about for some time now.
In fact, data miners found the date for Respawn's first teaser for the event, which aptly landed yesterday . The teaser can be found to the west of Skyhook, and it's a dead Prowler, the beast Titanfall fans are well familiar with.
While it may not point directly at Bloodhoound, a dead Prowler most certainly implies a successful hunter, and what better hunter than the aforementioned Apex Legends champ. Most players are expecting the so-called sniper mountain to be overhauled for the hunter's event in a similar manner to Mirage's for instance, but first - let's get some more lore in there.
