Following the success of Dead Space Remake, it looks like EA could soon bring even more remakes to the table. According to the latest rumours, the next game in line to receive a visual makeover is the beloved street racing title Need for Speed Most Wanted from 2005, not that 2012 successor that no one liked.
Anyway, the information about the remake comes from Simone Bailly, who played a police officer in the Most Wanted story. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Bailly revealed that Need for Speed Most Wanted Remake is set to be released in 2024, tagging EA and Criterion in her post.
"Need for Speed Most Wanted Remake is being released in 2024, like and comment if you want to see Cross (Dean McKenzie) and his partner (Simone Bailly) hunt down the most wanted," Bailly wrote in the post, which you can check out below in the article.
Obviously, you should not take this as an official confirmation as it's always better to wait for the announcement but we doubt Bailly would post something like this if such a project does not exist.
EA have probably contacted the original actors to record new motion capture as they want modern visuals and animations and Bailly probably did her part as she appears in the story as a partner to Detective Cross, who is trying to lock up the most wanted drivers.
If the 2024 release date is true, we expect to see the official announcement sometime next year, perhaps at EA's games showcase or at some other event like the PlayStation or Xbox showcase.
