The new season 2 will be active from 23 July through 16 September 2024 and promises to bring fans even closer to the action with new scenario events, updated driver ratings and new limited-time rewards all directly influenced by events from the real-world grid.

A key focus from EA and Codemasters this time around is to see players re-live key moments from the 2025 F1 season such as Lewis Hamilton’s maiden victory in a Ferrari in China or Kimi Antonelli’s electrifying pole lap in Miami that was unfortunately ruined by contact.

Players can choose to either relive or re-write these key historical moments from the recent past in these new scenarios.

Fans of the Elimination multiplayer mode can also look forward to it returning this season with F1 cars for the first time in its history. Players can look forward to weekly rewards for accepting the challenge of the rotating timed match with the slowest driver getting eliminated every 25 seconds.

Driver ratings update reflects 2025 Season shifts

The first driver ratings update is also going to go live from 24 July. Standouts from the 2025 grid will see their drivers increasing by a number of ranks such as Oscar Piastri, Isack Hadjar and Kimi Antonelli.

Veterans of the grid will also see their ratings update based on recent events from the real-world grid, for example, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Yuki Tsunoda. More rating updates will be provided by EA with future seasons to keep the game in line with the rapidly changing grid.
