Overwatch Anniversary Event Details

Blizzard is slowly teasing us with the new content set to arrive to Overwatch in honour of the game's first anniversary. New skins, maps, voice lines and emotes are being shared on the Overwatch social media around the world.

Overwatch art book

Blizzard partnered up with Dark Horse to release an Overwatch art book. The book will come in two editions: Standard and Limited, and feature some never-before-seen art. An anthology collecting the first 12 of Overwatch comics will also be available in October.

Destiny 2 will have some features "that are bespoke to the PC community". Additionally, the game will have at least two expansions in its first year, and Bungie is flirting with the idea of free seasonal events.

Overwatch's patch 1.11 now live

Overwatch patch 1.11 is now in the PTR. Patches usually stay in the PTR for two or three weeks, and after that they are released into the wild on a Tuesday. This patch will probably go live a day before the game's first anniversary.

In a move that might spark just a little bit of controversy, the presence of female soldiers in the upcoming Call of Duty: World War II, has been confirmed by Sledgehammer games. No word yet on multiplayer customisation.

Last summer's The Last Bastion released by Blizzard, won the People’s Voice award for “Best Writing in Film & Video.”. Heroes 2.0 update is live on Heroes of the Storm. Also live are the latest quest chain and the loot chest rewards for veteran players.

Heroes 2.0

Heroes of the Storm's latest update will be in the open beta for four weeks. The update brings a new progression system and some cosmetic rewards. Before the update rolls out, a hero from Diablo 2 will join the nexus.

StarCraft is now free

Blizzad made their hit game StarCraft and its expansion StarCraft: Brood War available for free. They made this move because the remastered version of the game is set to release sometime this summer.

Genji and Hanamura visiting the Nexus

After Lucio, Genji is the next hero from Overwatch to join the Heroes of the Storm Nexus. He'll retain his abilities from his original game but they'll be tweaked a bit. Genji is also bringing over a map from Overwatch.

Aim smoothing patch is on its way

Console versions of Overwatch are getting an update to fix the problems with the control scheme and to add the option to turn aim smoothing off. A time-limited PvE event set in the past is currently in effect.

Uprising is the twelfth Overwatch comic and deals with the events leading up to the fall of Overwatch. In the comic you can see a young Tracer as a cadet and a slew of familiar faces to boot.
