Blizzard just revealed a new escort map for Overwatch. The map is set in Australian Outback. A new animated short is to be revealed during the Blizzard Reveal Ceremony on Wednesday, 23 August.
If they ever make an Overwatch movie, they better cast Neil Patrick Harris as Junkrat. I'm just saying. Now for the short and the map and all the new stuff Blizzard will be throwing at our eyeballs during gamescom.
Starting with Overwatch, of course, we have a new animated short that gives me Borderlands 2 and Neil Patrick Harris flashbacks. The short serves to introduce us to the upcoming escort map and features Junkrat, Roadhog and a blinged out boom trolley. Perfect.

The press release also talks about another animated short, the premiere of which will take place on "the main stage and via live stream during the Blizzard Reveal Ceremony on Wednesday, 23 August".
Not done with Junkrat yet: the new map will be playable at the Blizzard booth, and here's its description:
"Constructed from the remains of a destroyed omnium, it's now the home to a band of lawless scavengers known as the Junkers, led by their cutthroat Queen. When they aren’t pillaging the omnium's skeleton for anything of value, the Junkers blow off steam in the Scrapyard—a massive gladiatorial arena whose combatants fight for glory, riches...and to survive."
That's all for now.
