Tencent policing gaming time in China

It seems like Tencent will be upping their policing game significantly as of 2019, as China's crackdown on what they consider gaming addiction will result in children under 12 years of age being allowed a single hour of gaming daily.

Epic have rolled out the 6.22 update to Fortnite: Battle Royale, which adds a new heavy hitting gun dubbed the heavy assault rifle and as Fortnitemares came to an end, players can indulge in Team Terror, a brand new co-op limited time mode.

Ironhide Game Studio have announced that their acclaimed tower defence franchise will make a comeback on 22 November 2018 when Kingdom Rush Vengeance lands on iOS and Android. The former will be a paid app, while Android may just have IAP.

Hand in hand with Fortnite's latest balloon-happy patch came Epic's briefing on the state of the game's mobile development, with one of the upcoming features for Android and iOS being 60 FPS but initially only on select high-end devices.

Niantic have announced a new feature dubbed the Adventure Sync coming to their Pokemon-collecting addiction of a game Pokemon GO, which will be recording your footsteps in the background and integrate with similar apps on iOS and Android.

Epic Games have just rolled out Fortnite's 6.20 update, which finally reveals what the company was up to writing all those Halloween themed rhymes. Fortnitemares is a new limited time mode that actually has the cube fighting back.

Fortnite data miners find gifting, modes

Fortnite's data miners have once again beaten Epic to the herald's trumpet and it seems that we'll soon see gifting available in Fortnite's store. Also, new modes are coming to the Tournaments tab, which is the only thing that Epic leaked.

Pokemon GO community day has Beldum

With the next Pokemon GO community day scheduled for 21 October 2018, Niantic have revealed the exact timing as well as Beldum, which is this Community Day's featured Pokemon. Of course, there are also bonuses, an exclusive move and more.

Latest Fortnite update adds quadcrasher

Epic Games have rolled out the 6.10 update to Fortnite: Battle Royale and as we expected, it brings the quadcrasher, the game's new quad bike, a new events tab for in-game tournaments and the recently data mined Disco Domination LTM.

Niantic launch Sinnoh Region Pokemon trailer

Niantic have rolled out a red carpet trailer for he arrival of the Sinnoh region Pokemon to Pokemon GO and peculiarly enough, although they should be added to the game this week, many trainers already reported sightings of the new Pokemon.

Assassin's Creed: Rebellion coming to mobile

Ubisoft may have been extremely clear about no new Assassin's Creed for a while after Odyssey has launched, but we guess they didn't consider mobile as part of that deal because Assassin's Creed: Rebellion is coming soon to iOS and Android.

In case you haven't gotten the invite for Fortnite's Android testing, we've got good news as Epic's global addiction is now freely available for everyone with an Android device, provided the minimum requirements permit it of course.

Mojang have announced that they'll be making two of Minecraft's libraries open source soon, which means they're free for anyone to improve, mess around with or use in their own projects free of charge, with proper attribution of course.

Aptly named Hex Nut Pokemon Meltan discovered

A new, never before seen species of Pokemon has been discovered and Meltan, as it's called, is made of steel, duh, and belongs to the Hex Nut Pokemon family. Professor Willow will apparently have some special research later this year.

Fortnite gets quad launcher, Disco Domination

Even though Disco Domination strongly suggested boogie bombing it turns out it's a variant of capture the flag, where the only difference is that Epic's new LTM requires you to emote on a dance floor. Oh and the quad launcher is here too.
