In Where Winds Meet, the latest MMO action RPG from NetEase Games, you'll have a bunch of activities and quests to take part in, and some of them will hold some really intricate puzzles that will challenge your puzzle-solving abilities big time.
One such puzzle awaits you during a Fragment Chapter quest called Mysterious Colossus, located inside Qinghe, the Witherwilds area.
This quest can be easily located on the map, but once you start it, you'll come across a puzzle that needs to be solved, featuring two praying villagers. If this puzzle is giving you a headache, here is the solution to it.
Mysterious Colossus Quest Quick Info
- Location: Qinghe, Witherwilds (far west)
- Recommended Level: 15+
- Prerequisite: Meridian Touch Mystic Art (unlocked during one of the previous parts of the Fragment Chapter quest)
- Difficulty: Easy (puzzle-focused, no combat)
- Time to finish: 5-10 minutes
How to locate the quest
This quest is located inside the first in-game area, Qinghe, far to the west, almost the most western point of the map (see the map below). Once you come to this area, the hero will comment something about a huge statue, and that's the indicator you're in the right place.
Start the mission by obtaining the prayer pose - this part is not complicated at all; just follow the quest markers, and that's it. After the stag appears, follow it using Wind Sense, and you'll eventually come to the right place where the puzzle takes place.

Where Winds Meet: Quest locationSolving the puzzle

After arriving at the place where two villagers pray, once you approach them, they will get startled and will cover their eyes, breaking the praying pose. To open the big stone door successfully, you'll have to make them maintain that pose while you're doing a similar pose as well, on the first praying spot.
So how can you do it? How can you make them stay in that pose? Very simple, actually. All you have to do is use the Mystic Art called Meridia Touch (this mystic art is actually required for this mission, so it is impossible to tackle it without it in the first place).
If Meridian Touch isn't in your Mystic Art quick wheel, go and select it. Pause the game, enter the 'Develop' tab, and choose 'Abilities', then 'Mystic Art'. Now, choose a slot you want to add Meridian Touch to, and if you're using a controller, hold R2/RT and pick the command dedicated to it, or if you're playing using a keyboard, press whichever number you set the command to.
Now move far enough from the villagers so they feel comfortable and return to their praying pose. Now, execute the Meridian Touch command, aim for a villager, and press L1/LB to immobilise him. Repeat the drill with the other villager, go to the praying spot, and enter the praying pose yourself; the door will soon open, and congratulations, you solved the puzzle.
Finishing this part of the quest will lead you through the aforementioned door, and once you're through, you'll automatically tackle the next part of the Fragment Chapter set of quests called Gleaming Abyss. This one is done inside a fairly linear dungeon with a very interesting boss at its end.
