A very early side mission you can partake in in Where Winds Meet is The Echoes in the Shrine mission. Here is how to tackle this particular secondary quest.

Where Winds Meet, the latest open-world action RPG from NetEase Games, features an abundance of main and secondary quests and much other content you'll definitely lose track of because there's so much to do in this game it is unreal.

If you choose to tackle a single-player campaign first, one of the first side missions you'll come across will be located inside the first settlement called General's Shrine and will require you to investigate strange noises coming from the underground and find a good boy's toy in the process.

The beginning of this quest can be very perplexing, especially because the game will throw so much information your way you'll definitely lose your bearings very quickly. If you want to finish this quest and don't know how, we have the answer in this guide.

How to break cracked ground in Where Winds Meet

This side quest is very easily discoverable since the dog is barking next to the quest starting point relentlessly. Follow the barking sound, and there you are. Speak with the boy, and he will ask you politely to try and find the way through the crack and retrieve his dog's lost toy.

To break the ground, simply jump twice while standing on the cracked ground and quickly press the LS button (Xbox controller) while mid-air. Hero will do the so-called Might Drop attack and break the ground in the process, falling into a pit and discovering the entirely new area.

Do not get distracted, though, by the frog martial art, thinking that it has something to do with breaking the ground because it doesn't. You can learn the Leaping Toad martial art there, but it won't help you with this problem in any way.
