It's safe to say that the recent Starfield Direct impressed many gamers thanks to Bethesda's detailed presentation of some very deep game mechanics and vast open worlds we'll get to explore in this sci-fi RPG.
Obviously, players who got overly excited by the presentation are PC and Xbox Series X|S gamers but it seems that some PlayStation fans have also been blown away by Starfield's gameplay, to the point where they are starting a petition, demanding from Bethesda not only to bring the game to PlayStation 5 but to make it an exclusive too.
The absolutely ridiculous petition on Change.org states that Bethesda games have always been on PlayStation consoles and that Xbox and Phil Spencer have no business taking them away.
Furthermore, the person who started the petition, Benjamin Dickey, argues that Xbox exclusivity would hurt the game since it limits the game to a small player count on PC and Xbox, allowing Microsoft to raise the prices of the game. Complete nonsense but wait, there's more!
Dickey also states that Starfield will inevitably fail and release as a buggy mess if it doesn't launch on PlayStation 5. Who would've known that simply releasing the game on PlayStation 5 magically makes all bugs disappear?
The petition description is jam-packed with even more nonsense but it's really absurd to the point where even writing about it would make our brain hurt. You can read it for yourself for a bit of a laugh and check the comments of people who are signing the petition just to tell this PlayStation fan how deluded he is.
Starfield certainly will not be a PlayStation 5 exclusive as it's not launching on PlayStation 5 at all. It's coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S as well as Game Pass on September 6, 2023.
