Proud owners of the Switch console can look forward to what's coming in October, and maybe hope for a few more sudden releases, given that Nintendo likes to surprise with unannounced releases lately.

The holidays are knocking at our doors, October is nearly here, which means we can take a look at what's coming out for Switch. The list contains a mix of indie games and 1st and 3rd-party titles, so there's something in it for everyone.

Here are the 10 best upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch, releasing in October 2020, ordered by the release date:

 1. Ys Origin

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is an upcoming racing mixed reality game, being the 15th installment in the Mario Kart series set to release in October 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. Developed by Velan Studios, Home Circuit utilizes real-life toys, with radio-controlled cars responding to how the player plays in-game. 

The game will be released to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario franchise.

8. Postal REDUX

Postal Redux is an isometric shoot 'em up video game developed by Running with Scissors. It is a remake of the first installment in the Postal franchise and its expansions in Unreal Engine 4, and contains high-definition redesigns of levels, remastered voice acting and sound effects, updated controls, and additional content not seen in the original game.

Ghostrunner is set in the future, after a global cataclysm. A city in a giant tower is the last bastion of humanity. Implants determine membership in various castes that divide the community. Violence and poverty lead to a rebellion. Players assume the role of a hero who, uniquely, can fight both in the physical world and in cyberspace. 

The aim is to ascend the tower and defeat its ruler, the Keymaster. The game’s core mechanic is one-hit-one-kill, which means that one attack is enough to kill an enemy or the hero.

10. Pikmin 3 Deluxe
