EA Sports FC 25: All new Ultimate Team features explained

EA Sports FC 25 will introduce gameplay and quality-of-life improvements to Ultimate Team. Here's a list of all the new features in EA FC 25 UltimateTeam.

EA Sports FC 25 is going to revitalize Ultimate Team with completely reworked gameplay and quality-of-life improvements. While Ultimate Team is the most popular mode in the series, there has been a lot of criticism regarding the lack of innovation recently, so EA decided to make some changes.

The first feature they introduced is the Division Rivals changes. After that, EA Sports FC 25 looks to move things up a level with the incorporation of a few more changes that would grant a better experience to players.

Ultimate Team Changes in EA FC 25

  • Division Rivals updates
  • Untradeable Duplicate storage & SBCs
  • Evolutions requirements & cosmetic adjustments
  • Removal of contracts
  • Gameplay improvements

Untradeable Duplicate Storage System andSBCs

A storage option is being added for Untradeable Duplicate Player Items, as per fan requests. Now you can store up to 100 duplicates of items in the SBC Storage system, which makes it easier when dealing with high-rated duplicate fodder for SBCs.

Evolution Requirements and Cosmetic Changes

While the Evolutions feature - upgrading favorite cards with stat boosts and new PlayStyles - was celebrated by fans, it also had its share of criticism due to its restrictive requirements.

Devs relaxed these requirements to make them more easily accessible to a wider range of player items. More Evolutions will be added in the course of the play cycle. Now added are unique backgrounds, borders, and sound effects to customize your EVO player items.

Contracts Removed

As contracts are being removed from Ultimate Team, you won't need to apply those items to players and managers. This comes in line with the current practice in Ultimate Team: bombarding players with packs, which more often than not included more than enough contracts.

Contracts will now be relegated to the list of obsolete features, alongside Squad Morale and Player Fitness.

Gameplay Tweaks

FC IQ advances an AI-driven tactical overhaul that gives users more control on their players when they are off the ball. Manager Items reflect the real-world tactical preference of the manager, which will go on to influence how your team performs on the pitch.

Corner Kick Support assignments allow individualization of set pieces on whether someone is required at the near post, back post, and focal point.

Goalkeeper manual movement is also getting tuned. Now, goalkeepers can only move 1-2 steps in any direction before they have a rather long cooldown to prevent the exploitation of manual movement. These are updates aiming to make Ultimate Team in EA FC 25 more engaging and user-friendly.

The list of changes includes some that are common pain points that players have been encountering, along with a few new features that hopefully can improve things.
