How and where to upgrade your ship in Starfield
In Starfield, various vendors cater to your diverse requirements, and one of those needs undoubtedly involves upgrading your ship. To initiate ship upgrades, your first step is to locate a vendor specialising in such enhancements.
The initial and most conveniently accessible vendor we've encountered in the early game is situated at a base near the planet Chthonia within the Wolf System. You can locate the Wolf System to the east of the Sol system and northeast of the Alpha Centauri system; check out the image below for visual guidance.
Upon arriving at this base, you'll immediately encounter the Ship Services Technician, a vendor who offers services such as ship repairs for a fee of 1000 credits. Additionally, he provides a variety of ship upgrades available for purchase.
Nonetheless, it's essential to note that the components required for ship upgrades come with a significant price tag, so ensure you have substantial funds before going on a shopping spree. Once you upgrade your ship for the first time, the achievement "Chief Engineer," the one for modifying a ship for the first time will pop up.
