S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the latest FPS RPG from GSC Game World, is a game with a lot of quests to tackle and artefacts to uncover all over the "Zone," the place where stalkers earn their living in the hardest way possible.
The majority of quests are as simple as following the quest markers and this approach, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to exploration in this game, but from time to time, some quests will give you only general location, and your task will be to find something in that location.
One such quest is Needle in a Haystack, in which your objective is to find Squint, a stalker who made enemies with the wrong people in the Zone. If finding this fella is giving you a headache, here is the solution to your problem.
Where to find Squint in the Needle in a Haystack quest
The majority of the quest will be to simply follow the markers and do stuff that is required of you until you come to a small farmstead where the search zone will be considerably expanded. Here, you'll have a lot of houses to explore, but sadly, Squint will be located in neither of those; all you'll find will be a lot of dogs and other mutants.
Instead of searching the houses, simply look for the mill—it's impossible to miss it—and enter it. Squint will be located inside. Keep in mind that the entire mill is filled with booby traps, so walk slowly and defuse each to keep your head intact and earn some quality weapons and grenades in the process.
Squint is located all the way to the top of the mill. Go there and speak to him; he will offer you a new side quest to follow if you want. Or if you want, you can simply deal with him and finish the quest.
