The first journalist stash you'll be able to obtain once you receive the quest is located in the house just outside of Zalissya. In this guide, we will show you how to reach it.

Most of the stashes in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the newest survival RPG shooter from GSC Game World, are shown on the map where markers will lead you directly to them without needing for additional exploration or solving puzzles.

However, journalist stashes are special stashes whose location is revealed by the "Seek, and you shall find" side quest, and each one of those stashes will give you a bit of a challenge if you want to collect their belongings; at the end of the day, loot from those stashes is way better than you can find in regular ones.

The first journalist stash you'll be able to loot as soon as you get the quest will be located inside the attic of a house just outside Zalissya, but as much as you observe the house, it seems there's no way to climb inside the attic. How to enter the attic with journalist stash near Zalissya

To enter the attic, do not go inside the house's courtyard; instead, jump on the small railing on the roadside. From that railing, jump on the wooden fence located between the house with the stash and the barn next to it; this fence is extremely thin, so you'll have to be very careful, first to make the jump and then to stay on it.

Now, position yourself well once you're on the fence and sprint jump on the barn's roof. If you're afraid you'll fall, quicksave once you manage to jump on the fence, and then just reload the save if you fall.

When you manage to reach the barn's roof, you're golden; the easier part remains. Sprint-jump on the truck parked next to the house, and from the truck, jump on the roof. Slowly walk off the roof above the house's entrance to reach a small balcony from where you can finally enter the attic.

On the other side of the attic, you'll find the stash with Mercenary's Light Suit. This suit is very good for the beginning of the game when enemies are not as tough as the late-game ones.
