Silent Hill 2, the latest horror adventure from Bloober Team, is a game of many puzzles, and while you might think that quantity affects quality, it isn't the case with this game because each one of them is interesting enough and solving them never gets boring.
One very interesting puzzle awaits you on the second floor of the Lakeview Hotel, where you must find the combination for the suitcase lying on the bed, and you must do that without a single hint.

How to find the combination for the suitcase in room 205
To write down all the steps you must take to get this task done, it would've taken too long because the puzzles and tasks in general come naturally as you explore and progress levels in Silent Hill 2.
Once you reach room 205, after solving the bookshelf puzzle, you'll find a suitcase lying on the bed locked by the two combinations of words. The first thing you have to do is interact with a vanity mirror inside the same room and unscrew the broken lighting bulb from the top of it.
Now to find the replacement lighting bulb. As you progress through the game, you'll find your way to the conference room, and while inside, you'll have to open the fireplace to find one of three figurines required for saving another puzzle.
After obtaining this figurine, you'll have a miniboss to beat, and after beating him, follow the path opened by him. Soon you'll find yourself inside the room "decorated" with red paint, and the can of red paint will be on the bed. Take the paint and open it with the can opener you obtained earlier by shooting the glass on the roof.
Now go to the third floor using the staircase located on the west side and enter the utility room. There, you'll find the bolt cutters. Go all the way down to the garden, cut open the chain on the gate, and take a bulb from the fish statue located in the middle of the garden.
Now, with the bulb and the red paint in possession, combine those two items to paint the bulb in red. Make your way back to the second floor inside room 205, screw the bulb on the vanity mirror, and switch it on.
The mirror will reveal the message written on it, saying DEED DONE. Go ahead, write those two words inside the suitcase to open it.
