Silent Hill 2, the remake of Konami's iconic same-named game from 2001, is a game that will serve you with a lot of puzzles, but to be honest, you'll never get bored with them because they are as hard as they're satisfying once you figure out their solutions.
At the beginning of the Brookhaven Hospital area, you'll come across a cabinet holding a key required for further progression through the level, but it will be locked with a combination padlock.
If finding the correct combination seems like too much trouble for you, we've made a guide that will explain to you how to discover the solution on your own, or if you don't want to bother, we'll show you the combination itself.
The reception padlock combination solution
Once James and Maria reach the hospital, they'll come across a reception room with a cabinet secured by a combination padlock. This cabinet holds a key for the basement, where you must go to progress through the hospital level.
By exploring the accessible areas in the hospital, you'll find a document called the Key Locker Note, where it is explained that you must go to Examination Room 3 if you have problems accessing the key locker. James will draw the question mark on his map, so follow its location.
Break the window to enter the room next to it and pick up another document called the Nurse's Memo. At the end of the document, there's text referring to three things: nurses, doctors, and trees.
Explore the area and you'll find several pictures hanging on the walls, three of which showcase seven nurses, two doctors, and four trees in the backyard. So the combination is as follows: 7-2-4. Enter this combination, and the cabinet will be unlocked.
