Read Earth Memories, or REMs, are one of Pragmata's key collectible types, developed by Capcom as part of the game's broader world-building. They take the form of holographic globe objects tucked into rooms and corners throughout the Cradle, and the game offers no introduction to them until you stumble across your first one. Until that moment, they will not register in your collectibles log, which means early players will often spot them without having any idea what they are looking at.
The REM hidden in the Power Plant Platform is a prime example of this. Shortly after arriving in the Solar Power Plant's opening area, you will pass a glass wall with the inscription "0037 Test Module" on it. Inside, clearly visible through the glass, is a softly glowing holographic globe. It looks like a collectible. It is a collectible. The problem is that there is no obvious way to reach it from where you are standing, and nothing in the environment points you towards a solution.
The instinct to file it away and come back later is the right one, but returning to it without knowing the route is where most players get stuck.
How to reach the REM
Do not attempt to find another way into that room from the Power Plant Platform itself. The route in comes from much further along in the level. Continue through the Solar Power Plant until you reach the last fast travel point in the area, the escape hatch called Main Control Lobby. From there, head forward through the double door ahead. This is the same corridor where the game introduces its first hacking node. Defeat the bot in the hallway, then enter the next room.
Rather than heading right into the large room beyond, look to the left and take the hand elevator up. After riding it, you will arrive in a short corridor. Look for a section of wall that has a faint shimmer to it. This is a holowall, the first one most players will encounter in the game, and it is easy to walk past if you are not looking for it. Interact with it by pressing Triangle, and it will dissolve, opening a passage through to the other side of the 0037 Test Module glass. The REM is in the room on the other side, waiting to be collected.
Quick tip: Holowalls appear throughout Pragmata and are always worth investigating when you spot a section of wall with an unusual shimmer or texture. They are one of the main ways the game hides optional rooms and collectibles off the critical path.
